Slash Commands

Slash commands provide instant access to pre-configured workflows. Type / in the input area to see available commands.

How to Use

  1. Type / in the input area
  2. Command palette appears
  3. Browse or search for a command
  4. Press Enter to execute
  5. Follow any additional prompts

Keyboard Navigation

  • Up/Down arrows: Navigate commands
  • Type to search: Filter by keywords
  • Enter: Select and execute
  • Escape: Close palette

Built-in Commands

X21 includes 8 ready-to-use commands:

/summarize_selection

What it does: Analyzes your selected data and highlights key findings or anomalies. Best for:
  • Quick data overviews
  • Identifying outliers
  • Finding patterns
Example usage:
  1. Select a data table
  2. Type /summarize_selection
  3. Press Enter
  4. Review insights
Requires input: No

/format

What it does: Applies consistent, professional formatting to make data visually appealing. Best for:
  • Cleaning up messy spreadsheets
  • Preparing reports
  • Making data presentable
Example usage:
  1. Select range to format
  2. Type /format
  3. Press Enter
  4. Approve formatting changes
Requires input: No

/clean_up_data

What it does: Inspects selection for data quality issues and proposes fixes. Finds:
  • Inconsistent formatting
  • Duplicate values
  • Missing data
  • Invalid entries
  • Formatting inconsistencies
Example usage:
  1. Select questionable data
  2. Type /clean_up_data
  3. Review identified issues
  4. Approve fixes

/generate_chart_plan

What it does: Recommends the best chart types to visualize your selected data. Provides:
  • Chart type suggestions
  • Rationale for each option
  • Best practices guidance
Example usage:
  1. Select data for charting
  2. Type /generate_chart_plan
  3. Review recommendations
  4. Create charts manually or ask AI to help

/formula_help

What it does: Explains or troubleshoots formulas in your selection. Best for:
  • Understanding complex formulas
  • Debugging formula errors
  • Learning Excel functions
Example usage:
  1. Select cell with formula
  2. Type /formula_help
  3. Describe your question (e.g., “Why is this returning #VALUE?”)
  4. Press Enter
  5. Get explanation

/meeting_notes

What it does: Converts selected text into crisp meeting notes with action items. Transforms:
  • Raw notes → Structured format
  • Extracts action items
  • Identifies owners
  • Highlights deadlines
Example usage:
  1. Select meeting notes text
  2. Type /meeting_notes
  3. Press Enter
  4. Review formatted output

/auto_fill

What it does: Fills blank labels by learning patterns from descriptions with ≥90% confidence. Best for:
  • Categorizing data
  • Filling missing labels
  • Applying consistent tags
Example usage:
  1. Select data with some labels
  2. Type /auto_fill
  3. Describe the pattern (e.g., “Fill Category based on Product Description”)
  4. AI learns and fills blanks
  5. Review and approve
Requires input: Yes - describe the filling pattern

/classify

What it does: Classifies rows using strict accounting rules with Buchungstext, Reason, and Category columns. Specific use case:
  • Accounting data classification
  • Transaction categorization
  • Rule-based labeling
Requirements:
  • Must have appropriate columns
  • Accounting context
Example usage:
  1. Select transaction data
  2. Type /classify
  3. Specify classification rules
  4. Review classifications
  5. Approve

Custom Commands

Workbook-Specific Commands

X21 can load custom commands from your Excel workbook. These appear alongside built-in commands in the palette. How to create custom commands: See your IT administrator or developer documentation for adding custom slash commands to workbooks. Benefits:
  • Team-specific workflows
  • Project-specific operations
  • Reusable complex tasks

Command Features

Commands have associated keywords for faster discovery:
/summary, /analyze → finds /summarize_selection
/tidy, /fix → finds /clean_up_data
/help, /explain → finds /formula_help

Auto-Execution

Some commands execute immediately:

Others prompt for additional input:
